October 15 is National Paint Your Own Pottery Day, and what better day for McDonough’s newest creative space to hold their grand opening celebration?
That third Saturday in October, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., Paint & Brush – The Creativity Cafe will be hosting their grand opening, and will give guests the opportunity to paint pottery and make other crafts for free (while supplies last).
And with the holidays around the corner, wouldn’t it be a nice gesture to create something for a loved one as a gift instead of purchasing it?
The grand opening is sponsored by the Contemporary Ceramics Studio Association, and The Cafe will be offering a chance for guests to explore all the personalized gifts you can create this year.
Paint & Brush – The Creativity Cafe is a studio that promotes D.I.Y., and offers classes in painting your own pottery, canvas painting, mosaics, glass fusing, candle and jewelry making, and more. The Cafe will be available for birthday parties, field trips and will even have open studio times for people wanting to come and create. There will be art camps, workshops led by an instructor, social painting events, wine glass painting and even team building events for businesses and groups, offered in the studio.
The Creativity Cafe will even come to you. They’ll take field trips to daycare centers, afterschool programs and schools, bringing “storytime painting” to classrooms around Henry County.
Paint & Brush – The Creativity Cafe is located at 2005 Jonesboro Rd. in McDonough.
